Star Trek: The Exhibition Heads To The Midwest
1 min readStar Trek: The Exhibition, last seen at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, will next be seen in St. Louis, Missouri.
The Exhibition will open at the St. Louis Science Center on October 28, and will run through May 22, 2012.
Fans will be able to see costumes, props and sets at The Exhibition. The sets include a transporter room, Dr. Crusher’s Sickbay and the highlight of The Exhibition, a replica Bridge from the original series which includes Captain Kirk’s chair, in which fans may sit and have their photos taken.
“Star Trek: The Exhibition aligns with our scientific mission,” said Philip Needleman, interim President and CEO of the Science Center. “From the Planetarium to Cyberville and the Breakthrough Gallery to Space in Popular Culture, the Science Center is full of galleries directly related to science and technology that have been inspired in some way by Star Trek.”
A sneak preview of The Exhibition will be offered to those attending the Science Center’s SciFest 2011, which runs from Oct 18-23. The preview will take place on Friday, October 21. In addition, the Exhibition will be open on Saturday, October 22 for SciFest Family Fun Night visitors as well as for Science Center Members.
As the date gets closer, fans in the area wishing to attend will find further information at the Science Center website.
I recently had the privilege to visit Star Trek: The Exhibition in Florida. It was marvelous… humbling.
Perhaps I shall create a YouTube video of my experience? Show those who unfortunately are unable to attend the adventure.
Unfortunately, as the article above states, the Original Series bridge was not presented at the Kennedy Space Center. I’ve been deeply confused and pained by that, to be truthful. From my understanding, all that was said to be included would be in attendance at all locations…
