Star Trek Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Released

2 min read

For fans of the Who Wants To Be a Millionaire game who reside outside of North America, the Star Trek original series version of the game has been released today.

The Star Trek: The Original Series – Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? Special Edition game is now available for the PlayStation3 and the Xbox Live Arcade.

The Star Trek: The Original Series – Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? Special Edition is “based on the world-famous television franchise.” The game is “the second big brand question pack for Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? Special Editions.

“In Star Trek: The Original Series – Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? Special Edition, the studio is set aboard a Constitution-class starship bridge; the host, audience, lifelines and contestants are all themed around the original Star Trek series. Players can choose from four avatars: Lt. Uhura, a Vulcan officer, a Starfleet Science Officer and an Orion slave girl. The Phone-A-Friend lifeline also features eight characters from this iconic science-fiction universe.

“Contestants participate in the Fastest Finger First round and then scale a mountain of questions in the quest for that elusive virtual million, making judicious use of the three classic lifelines – Fifty-Fifty, Ask The Audience, and Phone-A-Friend. It’s a social experience, too: up to four friends can compete locally to outdo each other, with each person’s score dependent on their speed.”

The game can be purchased “on the PlayStation Store and Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360 throughout Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Columbia.”

  1. Why not North America? Perhaps I’m being ignorant here, but wouldn’t the largest number of fans be located there?
