New Trek Metal Ship Model Kits
1 min readFour new Star Trek ship metal ship kits will be released this month.
The ships come courtesy of Fascinations.
The four ships include the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D, Klingon Vor’Cha class, USS Enterprise NCC-1701 and Klingon Bird-of-Prey.
The kits contain two four-inch square sheets of stainless steel. Pieces of the ship are popped out from the sheet and are connected using tabs and holes, no glue required.
The finished models range in size from three-and-a-half inches to four-and-a-half inches, and will sell for $12.95 each. More details will be available soon on the Fascinations website. This reporter has often seen Metal Earth models at craft stores, such as Michaels and A.C. Moore and would expect that some of these models will show up there as well.
The TOS Enterprise looks a bit … strange, I think.
Yes, the nacelles are too low.
According to the website these are DIY model kits which start out as flat metal sheets. I just hope it’s a prototype which someone didn’t assemble properly as this seems to be an interesting concept and, for once, reasonably priced.
