Showrunner Harberts Explains Klingon Redesign

Fans are talking about the Klingons, who have been redesigned again, and Star Trek: Discovery Showrunner Aaron Harberts explained that change is something that has been happening to the alien race throughout Star Trek‘s history.
“In the different versions of Trek, the Klingons have never been completely consistent,” said Harberts. “We will introduce several different houses with different styles. Hopefully, fans will become more invested in the characters than worried about the redesign.”
Harberts is correct, as pictures of Klingons from the original series through Star Trek: Enterprise (as seen here) will show. This is just one more change.
