Star Trek Online: Beyond The Nexus

Beyond the Nexus, a new featured episode for Star Trek Online featuring LeVar Burton as Captain Geordi La Forge, is available for PC now.

In this episode, players are paired “with veteran Starfleet Captain Geordi La Forge for a special Star Trek: The Next Generation-themed mission. In addition, LeVar Burton will be featured in Star Trek Online’s next major update, Season 14 – Emergence, which will be available on PC beginning October 3.

“Captains can log into the PC version of Star Trek Online right now to access Beyond The Nexus, a new featured episode celebrating the Thirtieth Anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation. During this mission, players will fight shoulder-to-shoulder with Starfleet Captain Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton) to aid in rescuing the crew of a Galaxy-class ship under attack. Beginning September 21, captains will also be able to purchase a brand-new Galaxy-class interior. Star Trek Online is also celebrating TNG‘s anniversary with server-wide giveaways on September 28, which include the classic skant uniform and Type 7 shuttle.

“On October 3, players reunite with Captain Geordi for the game’s next major update on PC, Season 14 – Emergence. In the new episode, Melting Pot, players accompany Captains La Forge and Kuumaarke (voiced by Kipleigh Brown) to the Dranuur Colony in the Alpha Quadrant, established by the recently united Kentari and Lukari species. The update will also introduce a brand-new Fleet Holding, featuring five full tiers of progression and rewards, the first large-scale holding since the introduction of Fleet Starbases. Captains will also be able to participate in a Tzenkethi Red Alert, two new Fleet Holding defense queues, a new colony map, a new special event on their personal colony map and a new Primary Specialization called the “Miracle Worker” that features brand-new Bridge Officer Powers.

“Both Beyond the Nexus and Season 14 – Emergence will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation4 at a later date.”
