Pine Filming One Day She’ll Darken

1 min read

Star Trek Beyond‘s Chris Pine is filming TNT‘s six-part drama One Day She’ll Darken, based on the real life story of Fauna Hodel.

Pine will take on the role of Jay Singletary, a “former Marine-turned-hack reporter probing the case of Fauna Hodel, who was given away by her white teenage mother to a black restroom attendant in a Nevada casino in 1949. The sinister trail leads him to infamous Hollywood gynecologist, Dr. George Hodel, a suspect in the infamous Black Dahlia murder of Elizabeth Short in Los Angeles in 1947.”

Early photos from the shoot show Pine wearing a white lab coat and all bloodied up.

One Day She’ll Darken is due to air next year.
