Please Stand By, a new independent movie set to debut on January 26, will be of interest to Trek fans.

In the movie, written by Michael Golamco and directed by Ben Lewin, Dakota Fanning plays Wendy “a young woman with autism who runs away from her caregiver in order to boldly go and deliver her five hundred-page Star Trek script [a story featuring Spock going to Deep Space Nine] to a writing competition in Hollywood. Will she live long and prosper?”

The movie co-stars Patton Oswalt, Toni Collette, Alice Eve (Star Trek into Darkness) as Wendy’s sister, and Jessica Rothe.
