Moebius Models To Release USS Franklin Model Kit

1 min read

The first of an all-new series of Star Trek ship model kits has been announced by Moebius Models.

The USS Franklin, seen in Star Trek Beyond, will be the first of the new models. The ship, the “first Starfleet vessel capable of warp 4,” vanished in 2164 and was rediscovered in 2263 by the USS Enterprise on the surface of Altamid.

“Measuring over 15 inches long and nearly 9 inches wide, this precision-tooled styrene kit [1/350 scale] features screen-accurate detailing, based on actual digital visual effects files. This skill-level 3 kit includes clear bussard domes and clear windows, as well as a Starfleet insignia display base. The kit also includes decals (with ‘worn’ and ‘new’ options) and a full-color instruction booklet, including detailed painting tips. Packaging features box art by legendary Star Trek production illustrator, John Eaves.

The USS Franklin kit requires paint and cement, which are sold separately.

The USS Franklin will arrive this month or early April, and the cost for the model is $69.99. To pre-order the model kit, head to the link located here.
