Deep Space Nine: What We Left Behind Update

2 min read

In a new communication to fans and backers of the Deep Space Nine documentary, What We Left Behind, the team behind the documentary are letting fans know about more people joining the project, a campaign for more Deep Space Nine in HD, and dates for the LA and NYC premieres.

Two composers have joined the Deep Space Nine documentary: Dennis McCarthy and Kevin Kiner.

“We couldn’t be happier to announce the addition of Dennis McCarthy (original Emmy-winning composer of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) and Kevin Kiner (composer on Star Trek: Enterprise and most recently Netflix‘s Making a Murderer and Star Wars Rebels) to our team! These two music legends have joined forces once again to create an original soundtrack for the upcoming documentary, and will continue their Star Trek family partnership by scoring our writers room Season 8 animated story break. We simply can’t wait for you to hear what they’re working on.”

Also in progress is a new campaign aimed at remastering the Deep Space Nine clips that will appear in What We Left Behind. That campaign is located here. There are perks for contributing to this campaign.

The dates for the LA and NYC premiers are as follows:

  • Los Angeles Backer Premiere – Friday, October 12, 2018
  • New York City Backer Premiere – Sunday, October 14, 2018

Details on the London premiere will be released next week.

Once the premieres have been completed, fans will get the details on when the early online stream and the Blu-ray/DVD bundles will be released.
