Wheaton Sues Legendary Geek & Sundry

1 min read

Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Wil Wheaton and his loan-out company Media Dynamics is suing Legendary Geek & Sundry for breach of contract.

According to Wheaton, Legendary hired him in 2015 to “create, write, executive produce, and host a webseries call Titansgrave: The Ashes of Valkana,” and the actor would be paid $50,000 and fifty percent of the net profit from the series.

In addition, Legendary was supposed to “consult meaningfully” with Wheaton about distributing and promoting Titansgrave: The Ashes of Valkana,” but instead, Legendary negotiated license agreements without telling him.

It is assumed that Legendary has “collected significant fees” as a result of these agreements and so Wheaton would be due his fair share, but according to Wheaton, they refuse to permit him to audit their books.

Wheaton seeks at least $100,000 in the lawsuit, and wants a “full accounting” to be conducted of the company’s books.
