February Juan Ortiz Original Series Art Prints

The next-to-last set of Juan Ortiz posters based on the original series has been announced.
This month’s posters include art based on the following episodes: The Corbomite Maneuver, Friday’s Child, The Cage, and Who Mourns for Adonais?
For The Corbomite Maneuver, Ortiz elected to use a child’s hand, instead of either Balok or his massive ship. “The ship was a big reveal in the episode, so I didn’t want to give it away on the poster,” said Ortiz. “Balok would have been equally revealing, but by just hinting at him, I hope to generate some interest from the new viewer.”
The Cage is Ortiz’s favorite of this batch of posters, because “it’s simple and has a lot going on.” Ortiz went “more contemporary” with this posters, as “this episode wasn’t shown until sometime in the ’80s (not including The Menagerie).”
Each art print measures eighteen by twenty-four inches. The set of four posters sells for $34.95 and can be ordered here.

Am I the only one who has never been that impressed by these posters? Many of them only vaguely seem connected to the episodes.
Nah, not my thing either
Most of them are pretty goofy, but their ’60s-retro style (and ’70s-retro in the case of the TAS prints) is actually very convincing as something that could have come from that time period; I’ve been enjoying them.
I think the “The Cage” print is actually the least successful of these; it’s very generic, isn’t reflective of any particular era, and suggests nearly nothing about the episode.
